Angelina Jolie Blames Becoming Pregnant From Working On Clint Eastwood’s Film, ‘Changeling’
Angelina Jolie has been in several relationships, high-profile marriages, and rollercoaster romances with some famous actors. One example is her relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt, whom she met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005.
However, despite all the challenges of her romantic life, the actress has remained devoted and steadfast in her love for her children, who are the only things she has unwaveringly cared for. Recently, Angelina Jolie revealed that director Clint Eastwood’s movie, Changeling, changed her perception of motherhood.
Angelina Jolie was reluctant to embrace motherhood
Despite vowing not to have children, Jolie revealed that she started to consider motherhood after she was cast in the role of a grief-stricken mother who must navigate the emotional turmoil of losing her son in that 2008 movie.
She further stated that her commitment to her role in Changeling might have changed her mind. “I got pregnant right in the middle of [filming Changeling], and I think partially because of it,” Jolie explained. “I was so emotional about children that I think something in me kicked into gear.”
Angelina Jolie revealed that Brad Pitt made her consider natural birth
Also, in 2019, Jolie credited Pitt as the one who inspired her to have biological children. In an interview with W magazin
“He stopped talking about having other kids in the other way. So I suppose in my heart I realized he was happy with them as his children, completely. I knew he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace,” she told the publication. “After that revelation, I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to (getting pregnant). I suddenly wanted to. It’s one of those things you can’t explain.”
Jolie eventually had three children by natural birth despite having adopted three others. She welcomed daughter Shiloh in May 2006 and twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in July 2008. Jolie stated that her childbirth experiences were so beautiful. “Now, I wouldn’t trade that experience for the world,” she said. “It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn’t otherwise be here.”
