Concerns grow for Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood, 92, who hasn’t been seen in public for 450 days
Friends close to Hollywood A-lister Clint Eastwood are reportedly worried about him as the star hasn’t been seen in public for over 450 days.
The 92-year-old actor and filmmaker was last spotted out and about over a year ago, leading those close to him to be concerned over his health.
He will celebrate his 93rd birthday later this month and is expected to begin shooting a thriller named Juror No 2. as his last film, rounding off his celebrated career.
Clint is due to star alongside Warm Bodies actor Nicholas Hoult, 33, and Toni Collette, 50, in the upcoming flick.
Filming is supposedly scheduled to begin next month with growing concerns the acting veteran will not be fit to work following his lack of appearances.
The long stint away from the public eye – supposedly 450 days – has some concerned about his health.
According to the Mirror, a source told Radar Online: ‘Clint has always enjoyed great health and been vital and active despite his advancing age, but the fact that he hasn’t been around as much lately has a lot of people in Hollywood worried about him.
‘It’s hard to imagine him in anything other than fine form but Father Time catches up to all of us.
‘People do worry about his health. He’s the director, but he’s also involved in every other aspect like the casting and he’ll likely compose the score as he’s done on his other films.’
The insider also commented on the star’s decision to make a movie for what will reportedly be the last time having previously admitted he had ‘flirted with the idea’ of retiring from movie-making.
They said: ‘He wants to do this movie as a swan song and go out in a blazing sunset,’ but added that he was not pleased that his last production apparently failed to hit the mark with cinema-goers.
Cry Macho was released in 2021 and was a flick themed on a modern-day Western starring the celebrated actor.
It followed the story of a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder who agrees to rescue his boss’s son from an abusive situation in which the boy’s mother is an alcoholic.
